The Gate Keeper is an opportunity to make state-level promises a reality in the communities where girls and women live — ensuring that every person has the option to plan their family and future.
Words are only as impactful as the action they inspire. Leaders — including those at the state, and regional levels — must fulfill their family planning promises if girls and women are to realize their full potential and nations are to thrive.
State governments must continue to prioritize family planning in state and local budgets, and tap into the resources and expertise of health insurance systems, the private sector and philanthropy to ensure family planning efforts reach every corner of their nations.

#SafeSpaces4Youth: Workforce Development Panel

International Youth Day – August 12 comes with the theme for 2018 is Safe Spaces for Youth.

Are you anywhere in the Garden City of Port Harcourt?

RSVP for this event – Workforce Development Panel! This will happen on August 16, 2018 at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Youth need safe spaces where they can come together, engage in activities related to their diverse needs and interests, participate in decision making processes and freely express themselves. This is an interactive session with young people age 18-35 (about to graduate students) from tertiary institutions to inspire more and better-prepared workers. It is expected that 90% of the participants will join the labour force in less than two/three years. Therefore, with this safe space event, we hope to share interconnected set of solutions to meet future employment needs – prepare youth with needed skills, emphasizing the value of workplace learning and motivation.
